Valerie Van Galder has over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Having headed marketing for the Hard Rock Cafe, she went on to become a founding executive of both Fox Searchlight and Sony Screen Gems, and the President of Marketing at Sony Pictures. She has created, developed and executed integrated marketing campaigns for films including The Full Monty, The Da Vinci Code, Spiderman 3, Superbad, Snatch, Casino Royale, Stepbrothers, Pineapple Express, Adaptation and countless other films. She was also the President of Tri Star Pictures, overseeing production and marketing on Running with Scissors, Premonition and Silent Hill.

Valerie segued into marketing consulting in 2009, working with movie studios and filmmakers. Clients include Summit (Letters to Juliet, Source Code), Walt Disney Pictures, where she was responsible for managing the campaign for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Lion's Gate Entertainment (Kick Ass), and Marv Productions (Matthew Vaughn). She consulted for Facebook on movie marketing strategy in both London and Los Angeles. Recent projects include "Kingsman: The Secret Service," "The Interview," "Kubo and Two Strings," "Loving" and "Nocturnal Animals."
Valerie has received numerous industry awards, including key art awards for Snatch, Big Fish, Adaptation, and Premonition, and the Ad Age Marketer of the Year Award.

A passionate mental health advocate, Valerie runs Depressed Cake Shop, a pop-up concept which raised awareness and money to support those with mental health issues. She is also on the Board of Directors of St. Joseph Center in Venice, California.
